Mother's Day & Ruth and Bebe's Birthday

Ruth postponed her birthday because so many people were in and out of town, so Mother's Day was the perfect day to celebrate everything.

Ruth and Sara were in the kitchen whipping up two huge egg frittata's. One was a bacon and Swiss cheese and the other is a vegetable melange. Very fancy and very good.

Rijk was in charge of the waffles.

Not just any waffles...these were special too. One batch was batter with spicy pecans, topped with peppery maple syrup. The other was made with dried cranberry's and brie cheese, topped with creme fraische. Mmmmmmm.

In addition there was sausage links, fresh fruit and sliced pieces of Japanese pastries.

Around the table from the left is Rijk, Sara, Brian, Bruce Dan and the birthday girl, Ruth.

At one point Klaus dropped by and totally surprised Ruth with some fantastic Harley clothes. Happy Birthday Ruth!!!

And Ruth's brother Randy dropped by with his dog Cody. Just in time to play with Bebe and Loci.

The dogs had boundless energy.....but we forget, they're dogs.

Sara figured out how to slow them down, put the two small ones on her lap. Good puppies!!

I talked those that were left to pose for a Birthday shot.

On the mantle was a real prize. Patti, a friend, had taken a picture of Ruth and Bebe and framed it. Precious. Naturally there was booze and cards too.
