USC won again....but how was the wind?????

Today was game number 5 for the USC Trojans. Today's opponent was Arizona State. The game was held at the Coliseum and kick off was 12:30 this afternoon. We had to leave very early to get to the parking lot by 10:30...then we took a nap in the car.

As you can see it was a beautiful in downtown L.A. First the coaches took the field. Oh boy.

Go Trojans!!! Next the team took the field. Time to take on ASU.

Ruth, Sara and Cynthia were ready to have a good time and a good game.

Traveler is the mascot for the Trojans. He comes on the field every time there is a touchdown.

The game was a lot of fun. Sara and Cynthia were having a ball.

It may be hard to see but the final score was 28 to zero. One touchdown in the first quarter, two in the second, no score in the HO-HUM third and another in the fourth quarter. USC is now 4 wins and one loss. In our league we are 2 wins and 1 loss. But the team has a long way to go.

At the end of every game the band and the dancers come down on the field to entertain those that stay after the game. It's a lot of fun.

The girls were there with their pom-poms to add a little flair to cheering on the band.

The "V" is for victory and it's the schools signal too. It means "Fight ON...Trojans."

The band is over and it's time to drive home. I looked up and saw that the flags were sill blowing. Maybe I could get to Long Beach and finish the day off with some kiting.

Dan sent me the wind graph for Saturday. There were some pretty heavy peaks. Dan, Jason and Klaus went out between White Island and Freeman. They said it was fantastic.

It was 5:45 by the time I got to L.B. and drove out on the Granada ramp. You can see the wind was still blowing and so was the sand. But there were no kites. I heard everyone was tired.

I know you can barley see him but there was one kiter that was walking to his car. By this time Dan, Jason, Klaus, Dong, Kyle and everyone else had gone home to rest.

At the end of the day there was still wind blowing. Best of luck tomorrow. Remember there is a marathon in the morning.

To Al Navas...."Welcome to the neighborhood." He just moved around the corner from me.
