Wed. Thurs. Friday. Movies, jam and wind!!!!

There wasn't much going wind-wise on Wednesday so I walked down and watched the cast and crew shoot an episode of "Nip-Tuck."

I looked for John Hensley, Dylan Walsh or Julian McMahan but NOOOOO!!

It's really cool that Belmont Shore is being used for a TV show.

This is about as close as I could get...still no stars unless that's one on the very right???

Amazing how many people are part of the cast and crew.

Last week Ruth visited our neighbor Fred. He asked her if she wanted the concord grapes on his vines. Of course she said "Yes!" Step one was to wash the fifty pounds of the grapes. Step two was to squeeze the contents in one bowl and put the skins in the cooking pot.

The left is the before, the right is the after the squeezing.

Then pour in a big pot and...

...cook it down...

Next step is to start filling the boiled jars.

It was just perfect timing that Klaus dropped by to present Ruth with some German sauerkraut. I didn't know Klaus was such a gourmet cook.

Ruth got back to the jam pouring....it was not that fast.

Sara helps Ruth with phase two, the spiced concord grape jam...mmmmm.

She finished!!!!

The 20 jars on the left are Concord Grape Jam and the 10 on the right are Spiced Grape Jam. Great job honey.

Today Matt called at about 2:30 and then I called Klaus. "The wind is up."

Matt was out on his Naish directional and I was on my 169 Litewave. We both went up past the pier while the wind was up.

Matt "kissed" his fin with his knee. He cleaned it up for the photo.

At the end of the day Faycal was walking up the beach and I grabbed this shot.

At the end of the day, as we wrapped up our gear, you could see that the weather was about to change. It looked like there was a front coming in. Sure, that's what I get for washing Sara's car.
