Meeting about "Opening Bolsa Chica for kiting"

Over two months ago Gabor and I kited at Sunset Beach behind the Jack In The Box at Warner, right next to the Bolsa Chica parking lot. At the end of the session he said something like "This beach should be open all of the time to kiting."

Well Gabor has pursued this dream for quite some time now and last night we had a meeting at Kitesurfari about his vision, to open Bolsa Chica to kite surfing and windsurfing again.

Gabor called the meeting to order at about 7:10. If my head count is correct there were 23 kiters discussing various ideas about Bolsa Chica.

Like any good idea there could be many more discussions regarding Bolsa. But it was a fantastic round table discussion. We all knew that by opening up another beach it will allow for the sport to grow and expand.

This first meeting was like the "Who's Who" of So. Cal. kiting. Unfortunately my camera didn't get Martin Hubert (sorry Martin), but I did get Martin Zoldano, Robert Aviles, Stan Smuckler and the back of Gabors head.

There was Francis Hu, Steve Hoffman, Danny and Robert Mccullough, Bart Gaska, Al Navas, Robb Hamilton.....and

Sharone Levy, Luke Bilger, Mike Rufer, Kristin Helm....and

Dan Corbett, Aaron Lininger, Golan Levy, Oden Ben-Ezer, Peter Hemphill and Nudge (sorry the camera missed you too). And me, Jim Corbett. I missed me too.
