We had some unreal clearing winds today
The day started with hearing the wind chimes tinkling around 11 or 11:30. Then I got a call from Dimitri that he had a fello Jet Blue pilot, Russ, that would like a "refresher" kite lesson. I met up with him around 1 o'clock. He had a 16 and a 12, so we pumped the 12. Then the wind really started to come up and the Turbo Desiel didn't like the gusty conditions. A bridle line popped. That was the end of the lesson. More to come later.
From the end of the Claremont this was our view looking West at around 2 o'clock. Russ helped me launch my Wainman 12 and I went out. One thing that happens on days like this.... sand gets in your eyes. And it hurts too. You can't wait to get on the water.
Dong was out as well as about 10 others. Besides being gusty, the water was also choppy and a little on the cool side...... but it was still fun.

Dan and I de-rigged at about 5 o'clock but there were still a few kiters on the water until the sun went down. Sunset was at about 6 o'clock.
