Clearing winds today and the 9/11 motorcycle ride

Check out the 9/11 ride below.

Tuesday, September 15, 2009. Ruth and I went to the Dodger game but Dan, Klaus, Rijk and many others got some great time on the water. Boo hoo.

This is the wind I drove away from at 5 o'clock as we headed for Dodger Stadium.

The time stamp on this picture is 2:52. Double click to really see this shot. I love the clouds over the Palos Verdes mountain. Clearing winds.

Before I put the camera down I caught this shot of Dong going starboard with Chaffee Island and beautiful clouds in the background.

This is the wind today. I just love these graphs that ikitesurf.com produces. Many guys keep track of the wind on their cell phones. I look out the window and call people.

Peter took full advantage of the wind with his big 17m Best kite and a big directional board. He is a big guy too, but he was able to stay out until about 6 o'clock.

At the end of the day the sun and clouds were majestic.

Nine-Eleven Motorcycle ride

Ruth and Klaus prepare to go on the 9-11 ride.

Klaus and Ruth pull away for the ride.

After a little ride, Klaus and Ruth met up with a lot of other riders at Cook's Corner.

The whole group leaves Cook's Corner. The ride begins.

You definitely get the idea there were a lot of bikes on the ride. Check the next shot.

Ruth took some great shot from the back of Klaus's Harley. I guess she stood up or held her had very high. Good shot.

Here comes the parade into Long Beach. These shots were from Rijk.

What a long line of motorcycles.

Where is Ruth and Klaus. Check out the video.

I know they both enjoyed the ride.

Later that night we took the bus to downtown Long Beach.

This is a shot from the bus of the beautiful sunset on 9/11

The bus dropped us off and we walked to Rainbow Lagoon

This was our first visit and we had a great time.

Here's a free picture that they sent us. They had all the props too.

They had a lot of booths selling all kinds of things, like lobsters gloves.

They had a cover band playing 70's disco music

Ruth and I danced and danced and danced. Then we took the bus home. No driving, no problem. We also got a senior discount. Can't beat that!!!!!
