SCKA Clinic 2008
Saturday May 10th marked the second SCKA kite clinic at Belmont Kite Beach. Our first for 2008.
The day started out with our sign-up table. Here Dimitrii Korionoff is greeting potential members.
The next thing was the Swap Meet. I noticed a lot of stuff to be sold but we needed a few more buyers. Next time....
Kyle Van and I provided the selection of kite sizes and Right-Of-Way rules.
There were three other stations for kite boarders to get more safety information such as Body Dragging, Self Rescue and Gear Inspection.
With the clinic over it was time to kite. Saturday was fun but Sunday was even better.
When we wrapped up our stuff on Saturday one person stood out as the helper on the beach. I guess you could call it the "Sherpa Award." This young lady did it all helped land the kite, helped wrap up the gear and carried it to the car too.
After kiting for over three hours on Sunday and having a great time, Monday was recovery and a work day. After work Klaus came over to the house to work on his Harley. Good thing I had some tools. I was working on my Rhino fixing another bladder problem.
Klaus got his bike back together and it was time to wrap it up. Tomorrow we hope it's going to blow. Cross your fingers.
