Clearing winds, football and other stuff

Today is Sunday, Nov. 2. It rained this morning and we had clearing winds this afternoon.

At about 1:30, when I pushed my cart out to the end of ramp, the view was so beautiful. Look at those clouds, they look like they are graphically added. Is it time to print the post card?????

Bobby arrives and starts pumping. Time to hit the water with his new Best kite.

Naji heard the rumor that there was clearing wind too.

Klaus and Roberto compare notes on how to ride a directional. This was Klaus's first time on his new North 6'1" board.

At some point Klaus and Danny Velo were racing towards the oil platform. It was windsurfer against a kiter. Bobby and I followed them. When we got back to Chaffee Island Dan, Jason and I along with Klaus went back to the platform for one more look. After that we got all the way to La Palapa on one reach.

Dan and Jason showed us how to do forward and back rolls today. They have been practicing up at Leo. Looking GOOD guys!!!!

When the wind died Bobby helps launch this young ladies trainer kite.

Then Dan and Klaus jumped in to help the damsel in distress launch her kite again and again. Little did we realize that she had come with Chad and he was out doing a down winder.

Finally I got all the guys together for a quick group shot and Chloe took our picture. From L-R; Naji, Henry, Roberto, Dave, Bobby, Klaus, Joe, Dan, Jason. With Todd and me in front.

Thank you Chloe.

At the end of the day it was another great day.

USC wins again....

On Saturday we drove to the Coliseum to see USC win another football game. It was a great victory, 56 to 0. Next week we play Cal. This one is important. Go Trojans.

Friday was Halloween. Here is our neighbor Joey, his wife Diana and their three girls. Trick or Treat. How do you like the candy kids????

A week ago Sunday, on Nov. 26 was the last time I got out....it was at Seal Beach.
Here we are at the rigging beach. Way off on the right is Bonny and Omar. I love the grass.

I had to get a shot of Omar's huge van. He carries so much equipment inside.
You can visit Omar's site at http://flickr.com/photos/69864107@N00/sets/72157607645060517/show/ GREAT SITE OMAR.

On the left is Son, and his son, my son and me. Son, Sean, Dan and Jim at Seal.

Then it was time for a BBQ at Randy's house. He's Ruth's brother. Randy is on the left and his helper, Dan, are preparing the food. Look at all the work that Dan is doing.

The guys are having fun. L-R, Brian, Randy, Dan and me.

The whole group poses. In the back row is me, Dan, Sara, Brian. In the front is Ruth, their dog Cody, Randy and his wife Liz. It was a fantastic dinner. Great job everyone.
